What Do We Grow?

Pastured Broilers

Cornish Rock Giants

These are the fastest growing, most efficient meat birds available. Their large breasts and thighs give them a great finish.

Fed with locally milled and sourced feed from Healthy Herds in Bentley, AB. Grown in chicken tractors when they graduate the brooder. Moved daily onto fresh green grass.

Pastured Pork

Berkshire Cross

Berkshire pork is renowned for its richness, texture, marbling, juiciness, tenderness and overall depth of flavor. It is thought by many to be the Kobe beef of pork. It is said to have a very specific taste, not generic and bland or mild like regular pork.

Our pigs are fed on pasture and fed locally milled and sourced grains to supplement the grass.

Registered Canadian Arcott Sheep

Very hardy and strong animals, well adapted to their native climates, able to adapt to pasture or confinement systems easily, grow relatively faster and produce excellent carcass, ewes are excellent mothers, rams are often used in many breeding programs for improving the meat characteristics of other breeds of domestic sheep, today raised mainly for meat production.

Our sheep are mainly grass fed and only supplemented grain during breeding and lambing.

Grass Fed Beef

Grass fed beef production allow the cattle to roam free on pastureland during their entire lives, grazing on grasses and plants. This type of diet produces meat that is high in Omega 3s, which can have profound effects on your health! Grass-fed beef has been shown to reduce LDL or “bad cholesterol” levels and increase HDL or “good cholesterol” levels. Grass fed beef also contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which may help you lose weight and body fat as well as reduce your risk for cancer. Grass fed beef also contains higher amounts of vitamin E, beta carotene, calcium and other nutrients than conventionally raised cows.

Sex-Sal-Link Brown

These are the hybrid brown egg layers. They are easy to raise and prolific producers of large, richly colored, brown eggs of excellent shell quality. They are quiet and friendly and easily trained to lay in their nests. They tend to settle for an early in the day lay, so 80 % of your picking will be done by lunch time! They are also very clean in their nests so nesting material lasts!

Our layers are free range so they can get all those extra nutrients from bugs and grass. You will be amazed at the color of the yolk and the increased nutritional content.
